A rare smooth, sunny winter day in the Pacific Northwest just after a good snow. I snapped a couple shots of the North Cascades and Glacier Peak enroute from SEA to GEG this afternoon, plus one of Puget Sound at sunset.

The View From Here #2

This is turning out to be "the winter that wasn't." Aside from a week of snow storms throughout the northwest, we've had incredibly dry weather. It was even sunny and 50 degrees early this week. The North Cascades have still managed to accumulate a good snowpack. I took this Monday afternoon enroute from Seattle (SEA) to Calgary (YYC).

Here's an interesting look at how an airline bankruptcy is affected by politics, an angle most of us have never considered before. It's disturbing that yet one more airline is using bankruptcy as a shield to ditch obligations to employees.
